LOU TERRY GREEN MAN

Having shared a string of heartwarming singles in the run up to its release, South London-based stalwart Lou Terry marks the arrival of his new album Building A Case with its accomplished final single 'Green Man'. A folk song at heart, the winding piece is curious and introspective, feeling much more like a short story than a typical piece of alt-rock. He explains: "It's a song that starts at the end of a walk, parting with someone at some traffic lights. The green man signals goodbye and the beginning of a dive into memory, of people and conversations, and contemplation of how to find love in all the wrong places." Sparser than many of his previous works, the innermost workings of Terry's mind are laid bare on Green Man, leading to a bold and intimate listen that politely requests repeat plays. Listen to 'Green Man' and the rest of Building A Case and/or catch Lou Terry live on the road with fellow TMR favourite piglet around the UK this week. -Holly Mullineaux
